So I'm an ED admit to the class of 2012 and realized this board is a great way to get real feedback from people about true life at the school. I think part of it might be Dartmouth's general hostility to overt displays of 'eliteness.' But it wasn’t until a few years ago that the Dartmouth College Alpha Delta fraternity went above and beyond the typical bad frat reputation. These include: Tri-Delt, KKG, AZD, and Alpha Phi. Not hard, and there aren’t really “top” rankings. Keep an open mind. I'm not sure that we have one "elite" sorority (this sort of seems counterintuitive to me considering our social scene) though I wouldn't rule the possibility out. Regardless, in order to identify which sororities are the most "elite" you have to resort to stereotypes, which may or may not be true, and furthermore may not be valid in a couple years. Therefore, you sound like a budding Kappa Kappa Gamma.

My advice is to take a deep breath, chill, fall back, check yourself or any other terminology you may want to use because you will not be able to rush until you are a sophomore, giving you a year to reign it in just a little.
